Ecoplanta Molecular Solutions, S.L. (Ecoplanta) is a Spain-based project company developing a waste-to-chemicals facility at the Tarragona petrochemical hub in Catalonia. The plant is designed to convert non-recyclable municipal solid waste into renewable methanol and other circular intermediates for fuels and chemical production.
By integrating advanced gasification and catalytic synthesis with existing industrial infrastructure, Ecoplanta aims to reduce the carbon intensity of chemical feedstocks, expand domestic supply of low-carbon fuels, and support waste management and circular-economy objectives in Spain and the European Union.
