Delfin LNG LLC is a subsidiary of Delfin Midstream Inc., focused on developing an offshore LNG export terminal in the Gulf of Mexico, approximately 40 nautical miles off the coast of Louisiana.
The Delfin LNG project is a brownfield deepwater port designed to support up to three floating LNG (FLNG) vessels with a combined production capacity of 13.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). It leverages existing infrastructure, including the UTOS pipeline—the largest natural gas pipeline in the Gulf of America—purchased by Delfin in 2014, and a long-term lease on the HIOS pipeline.
The company holds a deepwater port license from the U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD) and Department of Energy authorization for long-term LNG exports to non-free trade agreement countries. As of 2026, Delfin LNG has secured multiple long-term sale and purchase agreements totaling around 3.3 MTPA and anticipates a final investment decision (FID) for its first FLNG vessel in the near term.
