Danske Commodities A/S (Danske Commodities) is a Danish energy trading company headquartered in Aarhus and founded in 2004. A wholly owned subsidiary of Equinor, it operates in liberalized energy markets across Europe and selected international markets.
The company trades electricity, natural gas, and environmental products (such as guarantees of origin and carbon certificates), and provides market access, short-term balancing, asset optimization, and risk management services. It supports generators and renewable asset owners—including wind, solar, storage, and flexible thermal assets—by optimizing production and enabling hedging and route-to-market solutions through 24/7 trading operations.
