Coastal GasLink Pipeline Ltd.

Coastal GasLink Pipeline Ltd. is the project company behind the Coastal GasLink natural gas transmission pipeline in British Columbia, Canada. The approximately 670‑kilometre, 48‑inch pipeline transports natural gas from production areas near Dawson Creek in northeastern B.C. to LNG Canada’s liquefaction and export facility at Kitimat on the Pacific coast. The system includes compressor and metering facilities and is engineered to allow future capacity increases through additional compression.

The pipeline is operated by TC Energy, with ownership interests shared among TC Energy and institutional investors; avenues for equity participation by Indigenous communities along the route have also been established. The project is regulated by the British Columbia Energy Regulator and is subject to provincial and federal environmental approvals and compliance monitoring. By enabling LNG production for export, Coastal GasLink links Western Canadian gas resources to global markets and supports regional energy supply chains, including downstream uses of natural gas as fuel and as a feedstock for petrochemical production.
