Chassis Brakes International B.V. is a Dutch company headquartered in Eindhoven, Netherlands, specializing in the manufacture of automotive foundation brakes and components. Formed in 2012 through the acquisition of Bosch's global foundation brakes business by KPS Capital Partners, it became one of the world's three largest independent providers of such products.
The company produces safety-critical items including brake calipers, disk brakes, drum brakes, and parking brakes, supplied to leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) worldwide and through aftermarket channels. It operated 12 manufacturing facilities, 11 engineering centers, and sales offices across Europe, Asia, India, North America, and South America, employing approximately 5,500 people.
In 2019, Chassis Brakes International was acquired by Hitachi Automotive Systems (now part of Hitachi Astemo, Ltd.) for around €690 million, integrating its expertise into advanced chassis and safety systems for electrified and autonomous vehicles.
