Centre Manche Energies is a project company wholly owned by TotalEnergies. It is developing a 1.5 GW offshore wind farm located more than 40 km off the Normandy coast in France. The project was awarded by the French State and has advanced through the filing of an application for Single Authorization, supported by technical, environmental and installation studies.
At full capacity the wind farm is expected to produce around 6 TWh annually, sufficient to power approximately one million homes. Total investment is estimated at €4.5 billion. Construction is projected to create up to 2,500 jobs over three years, with a focus on European suppliers for major components.
The project continues to involve consultations with local authorities, environmental groups, maritime stakeholders and the public as part of the permitting process.
