The Carbon Capture and Storage Association (CCSA) is an industry trade association representing companies involved in carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) across the UK and Europe. Its membership spans the full value chain, including industrial emitters, technology and equipment providers, engineering and project developers, infrastructure and storage operators, and professional services and finance.
CCSA works to accelerate the safe, large-scale deployment of CCUS to support climate and industrial decarbonization goals. The association engages with policymakers and regulators, provides market insight, convenes working groups, and promotes best practices covering CO2 capture, transport networks, geological storage, and utilization routes. Its activities are relevant to hard-to-abate sectors such as chemicals, refining, cement, steel, and power, and to the development of industrial clusters and cross-border CO2 transport and storage infrastructure.
