BECCO Poland Sp. z o.o. is a Polish limited liability company based in Warsaw that operates as the local subsidiary of the American biofuels company Becco. Registered in November 2005 under KRS number 0000244451, its core activities encompass the production of oils and fats (PKD 10.41.Z), technical gases, and other basic inorganic chemicals, with a specialization in components for the biofuels sector such as esters and biodiesel additives.
The company was established to support foreign investment in Poland's emerging biofuels industry. In 2006, it signed a lease agreement for land in the Infrapark Police industrial park (Podstrefa Police of the Kostrzyńsko-Słubicka Special Economic Zone) to develop a new plant for eco-friendly chemical intermediates. The project envisioned an investment of approximately 92 million PLN, employment of 200 people, and production capacity tied to up to one million tons of esters company-wide. It leveraged utilities from the adjacent Zakłady Chemiczne Police SA complex and was positioned as an early foreign investment in the park.
Ownership rests with Glamer Investments Limited, linked to the US investment fund Sage Capital Growth, which holds 100% of the parent Becco. The parent maintains biodiesel production facilities in Austria, Spain, and Bulgaria. While the Polish entity handled local investment, leasing, and project execution, the Police plant advanced only to the planning and lease stage before being placed on hold or canceled by around 2008, with no evidence of further development, construction, or commercial operation. The company remains listed as active in Polish commercial registries, though public records show limited recent financial or operational activity.
