Beaver Lake Renewable Energy LLC is a project company and subsidiary of C2X, itself majority controlled by the A.P. Moller Group. It was established to develop a bio-methanol facility in central Louisiana that would convert sustainably sourced forestry residues into bio-methanol and capture biogenic CO2 for permanent geologic storage. Planned annual output exceeded 500,000 metric tonnes of bio-methanol and 1 million metric tonnes of CO2 removals. In June 2026, parent SunGas Renewables announced cessation of further project development.

Beaver Lake will supply 3.6 million engineered CRUs over 12 years, capture ~1 Mt CO2/yr and produce 500,000 t/yr bio‑methanol; $2.5bn capex and operations targeted for 2029.
