Bayport Polymers LLC (Baystar) is a U.S. Gulf Coast polyethylene producer formed as a 50/50 joint venture between TotalEnergies (via Total Petrochemicals & Refining USA) and Borealis. Based in Texas, the company integrates upstream ethylene production with downstream polyethylene manufacturing.
Baystar operates polyethylene facilities in Pasadena, Texas, including a Borstar technology PE unit alongside existing HDPE assets, and is linked to a large ethane steam cracker in Port Arthur, Texas, for ethylene feedstock. Its portfolio spans HDPE and LLDPE resins used in film, blow molding, pipe, and packaging applications for domestic and export markets.
