Founded by five leading producers—Bangkok Cable Co., Ltd., Charoong Thai Wire and Cable Public Co., Ltd. (CTW), Phelps Dodge International (Thailand) Ltd., Thai-Yazaki Electric Wire Co., Ltd., and Prysmian Group Thailand—ATCM focuses on elevating product quality, safety standards, and regulatory compliance while promoting responsible manufacturing and innovation.

Key activities include collaborating with government agencies and international bodies on national standards, installation guidelines, and best practices; organizing seminars and knowledge-sharing events; driving global competitiveness; and supporting sustainable initiatives such as the exploration of advanced recycling technologies for materials like used XLPE insulation from electrical wires in partnership with entities including SCGC.

Headquartered in Bangkok's Bang Na district, the association operates nationwide in Thailand and engages regionally through ASEAN collaborations, including an MOU with the Malaysian Cable Manufacturers Association (MCMA), and internationally as an associate member of the IWMA.

ATCM serves as a central industry voice advocating for market protection against substandard imports, technological advancement, and the development of safe, high-performance infrastructure for Thailand's energy and connectivity needs.

Also known as Association of Thai Cable Manufacturers (ATCM).
