Sasol's chemical complex at Westlake near Lake Charles, Louisiana, enlarged by the Lake Charles Chemicals Project around an ethane cracker that started in 2019. Sasol makes alcohols, ethoxylates, ethylene oxide, linear alkylbenzene and alumina here; the cracker and two polyethylene plants belong to Louisiana Integrated PolyEthylene, its joint venture with LyondellBasell.
