Braskem Idesa's ethylene and polyethylene complex at Nanchital, just south of Coatzacoalcos, which started in 2016 as the largest private petrochemical investment in Mexico. An ethane cracker rated at 1.05 million tonnes of ethylene a year feeds two high-density and one low-density polyethylene plant, and Cryoinfra runs an air separation plant on the site. Braskem owns 75% and Grupo Idesa 25%; ethane comes from Pemex and, since 2025, through the import terminal at Coatzacoalcos that Braskem Idesa built with Advario.
