The chemical area on Chocolate Bayou south of Alvin in Brazoria County, Texas, about 45 miles south of Houston. It holds INEOS's Chocolate Bayou Works, which makes ethylene, propylene, butadiene and polypropylene, and Ascend Performance Materials' acrylonitrile plant.
