A large private industrial development in south-east Harris County, Texas, between Pasadena, La Porte and Seabrook, which the City of Pasadena made an industrial district in 1970. It holds more than 60 chemical plants. Its plants make acetyls and methanol (Celanese, Fairway), acrylics (Arkema, American Acryl), ethylene oxide (INEOS), propylene oxide (LyondellBasell), styrene, polyethylene, catalysts, additives and specialty chemicals, with hydrogen from Air Liquide and Linde.
