Expansion Overview
WITTMANN Group celebrated the expansion of its Kunshan production plant in China, marking the site's 20th anniversary. The expansion allows for local production of injection molding machines, alongside robots and auxiliaries.
Increased Capacity
The expansion has doubled the plant's production capacity, adding over 10,000 square meters of space, including 6,500 square meters for production and 3,500 square meters for a new office building. The total production space now spans 13,000 square meters.
Production Focus
Initially, the plant will focus on producing the all-electric EcoPrimus injection molding machine with a clamping force of 100 tons. The goal is to manufacture 100 EcoPrimus 100 machines in China next year.
Development and Flexibility
WITTMANN plans to use the Kunshan site as a development location, enabling quicker and more flexible responses to specific market requirements in China and Asia. The new R&D Center will support this initiative, targeting markets such as packaging, medical devices, automotive, and home appliances.
