Wacker Biotech and Eclipsebio partner on end-to-end RNA design and GMP production

Key highlights
  • Wacker Biotech will provide GMP-compliant plasmid DNA, in vitro transcribed RNA and lipid nanoparticles ready for scale-up.
  • Eclipsebio supplies an integrated AI-optimized RNA design platform plus sequencing-based characterization.
  • The collaboration delivers end-to-end RNA therapeutic development from candidate design and optimization to GMP manufacturing and encapsulation.
  • Wacker has added contract research services to support early-stage clients and scale designed candidates to IVT production.

Collaboration scope

Wacker Biotech and Eclipsebio announced a strategic collaboration to strengthen support for RNA therapeutic developers by combining sequence design and analytics with GMP manufacturing capabilities.

Capabilities combined

Eclipsebio contributes an integrated platform of AI-optimized RNA design and sequencing-based validation, with a focus on manufacturability and efficacy metrics such as high yield, integrity, purity, stability and protein expression. Wacker’s CDMO capability covers the value chain from plasmid DNA through in vitro transcription (IVT) for GMP-compliant RNA to formulation in lipid nanoparticles that meet regulatory standards.

Client offering

Together the partners aim to provide developers with clinic-ready RNA, shortening the path from candidate design to scalable GMP production and encapsulation. The deal expands options for early-stage projects and those ready for IVT scale-up, supported by Wacker’s recently launched contract research services.
