- WACKER to debut BELNEXT TAL 1840 M and EMO FH2 at in-cosmetics Global in Paris, April 14-16, 2026.
- TAL 1840 M is a fermentation-made theanine-based aminolipid cationic emulsifier: biodegradable and non-permanently charged alternative to quats.
- EMO FH2 is a fermentation-derived nonpolar emollient that improves pigment dispersion, spreadability and hair combability (up to 70% reduction in combing force) and remains stable up to 50°C.
- Also showcased: BELSIL PF 23 shine enhancer and BELSIL DM 6013 anionic silicone emulsion for conditioning shampoos.
Launch at in-cosmetics Global 2026
WACKER will introduce the BELNEXT line and two bio-based raw materials at in-cosmetics Global in Paris, April 14–16, 2026.
BELNEXT TAL 1840 M (theanine-based emulsifier)
TAL 1840 M is a fermentation-made, theanine-based aminolipid cationic emulsifier that forms a liquid-crystalline lamellar phase to enhance emulsion stability and improve delivery of care substances to hair; it is suitable for rinse-off and leave-on products, is not permanently charged (alternative to quats), plant-based and readily biodegradable, and improves wet combability at low use levels.
BELNEXT EMO FH2 (nonpolar emollient)
EMO FH2 is a fermentation-derived nonpolar emollient based on a single monomer with an optimized molecular structure for easier incorporation into complex formulas and high stability in emulsions; tests show lipstick formulations remain stable under temperature fluctuations and up to 50°C; it is intended for skin care, sunscreens, shampoos, conditioners and makeup, is compatible with ester-based materials, natural and synthetic oils and mineral UV filters, improves pigment dispersion and color intensity, provides a velvety-silky skin feel, and forms a water-resistant surface on hair that can reduce combing force by up to 70%, reduce frizz and improve hold.
Other ingredients and trends
WACKER will also present silicone-based actives such as BELSIL PF 23 and BELSIL DM 6013 and formulations addressing curly and wavy hair care.
