WACKER debuts Beauty Lab at in-cosmetics Paris

Key highlights
  • WACKER will demo a mobile Beauty Lab at in-cosmetics Paris on April 14–16 featuring testable hair, skin and tattoo formulations.
  • BELSIL PF 23 (Phenyl Trimethicone) is a high-refractive-index phenyl silicone fluid used as a gloss agent and dispersant in lipsticks and sunscreens.
  • BELSIL DM 6013 E (Dimethiconol, TEA-Dodecylbenzenesulfonate) is an anionic silicone emulsion with ~60% silicone, >1,000,000 mPa·s viscosity and ~400 nm particles; recommended use 1.5–4% wt in shampoos and leave-ons.
  • BELNEXT EMO FH2 is a non-polar, fermentation-derived emollient that enhances pigment dispersion, improves spreadability, is compatible with esters and mineral UV filters, and keeps lipsticks stable up to 50°C.

Event and Beauty Lab

WACKER will exhibit at in-cosmetics Paris (April 14–16) with a mobile Beauty Lab where visitors can test formulations for hair, skin, tattoo care and decorative cosmetics, including lipstick tests using BELNEXT EMO FH2.

BELSIL PF 23

BELSIL PF 23 (Phenyl Trimethicone) is a colorless, high-refractive-index phenyl silicone fluid compatible with vegetable, ester and alcohol fluids; it disperses pigments and powders, promotes homogeneous particle distribution, increases gloss in lipsticks and sunscreens, improves spreadability and reduces stickiness while forming a thin film that enhances skin suppleness and hair shine.

BELSIL DM 6013 E

BELSIL DM 6013 E (Dimethiconol, TEA‑Dodecylbenzenesulfonate) is an anionic silicone emulsion based on highly viscous dimethiconol (viscosity >1,000,000 mPa·s) with ~60% silicone and ~400 nm particle size; used as a conditioning additive in shampoos and leave‑on products to reduce wet and dry combing forces, aid detangling and leave hair feeling soft; recommended use concentration 1.5–4% wt.

BELNEXT bio-based products

BELNEXT targets biodegradability, natural raw materials and low‑carbon production; launched items include BELNEXT TAL 1840 M, a fermentation‑based theanine aminolipid cationic emulsifier that forms a stable lamellar liquid‑crystalline phase to improve emulsion stability and delivery of care agents to hair; and BELNEXT EMO FH2, a fermentation‑derived non‑polar emollient that is stable in emulsions, aids pigment dispersion and color intensity, tolerates temperatures up to 50°C in lipsticks, and is compatible with esters, oils and mineral UV filters while improving spreadability of viscous formulations.
