Vertex Bioenergy Opens Corn Oil Extraction Facility in Cartagena

New Corn Oil Extraction Facility

The Vertex Bioenergy plant in Cartagena, Ecocarburantes Españoles, has launched a new facility dedicated to extracting and selling corn oil. This product is highly sustainable and valuable for the livestock sector, with additional applications in biofuel production.

First Shipment and Production Capacity

This week, the first truck carrying 24,760 kilograms of corn oil left the facility. The plant has an annual production capacity of 4,000 tons and can store approximately 400 tons in tanks.

Investment and Construction

The construction of the new extraction plant required an investment of 5 million euros and was completed over the last six months. The facility separates oil from the corn mixture, providing a pure product for feed manufacturers and farmers to optimize animal nutrition.
