Uniper Invests in Five New Solar Projects

Key highlights
  • Uniper plans to invest €8 billion in growth and transformation projects by the early 2030s.
  • Five new solar projects in the UK and Poland will add 288 MWp capacity.
  • Four projects in Poland will contribute 219 MWp to the energy system.
  • The Berryhill solar farm in Scotland will generate 68.8 MWp.

Investment Decision

In December 2025, Uniper made the investment decision for five new solar projects, aligning with its transformation strategy. These projects are located in the United Kingdom and Poland, with a combined capacity of approximately 288 megawatt peak (MWp).

Projects in Poland

Four projects in Poland—Pakość, Kłodawa, Domanowo, and Krotoszyce—will collectively contribute around 219 MWp. These projects aim to support Poland's energy system transformation and expansion targets.

Project in the United Kingdom

The Berryhill solar farm in Scotland, UK, will feature approximately 152,000 solar panels, generating 68.8 MWp. This project is part of Uniper's broader strategy to enhance its renewable energy portfolio.

Strategic Commitment

Uniper's investment in these solar projects is part of a strategic commitment to invest around €8 billion in growth and transformation projects by the early 2030s. In addition to the five new projects, six more projects with a total capacity of up to 280 MWp are currently under construction.
