Leadership Change
Topsoe has announced the appointment of Yassir Ghiyati as the new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), effective immediately. This change is part of a broader leadership transition, as Elena Scaltritti, the former CCO, will assume the role of CEO on June 1, 2026, succeeding Roeland Baan.
Yassir Ghiyati's Role
In his new position, Yassir will oversee Topsoe's core commercial offerings across global markets. His responsibilities include managing some of the company's key technologies, such as HydroFlex®, WSA™, eREACT™, and SynCOR™, as well as the catalyst business.
Experience and Background
Yassir has been with Topsoe since 2005 and brings over 20 years of experience in engineering, sales, and leadership roles. Prior to his appointment as CCO, he served as Vice President and Managing Director for the EMEA region. He holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
