Sustainable Additive

LANXESS introduces a new ISCC PLUS-certified version of its lubricant additive, Additin RC 2515. Over 80% of its raw materials are sourced sustainably, verified by the ISCC PLUS standard. This certification ensures the integration of renewable materials into production, allowing full traceability and independent audits. The new version reduces the product carbon footprint by 34% compared to the existing product.

Performance in Extreme Pressure

Additin RC 2515 is a light-colored, low-odor sulfur carrier produced using the mass balance approach. It offers high lubricity and medium sulfur activity, making it effective in extreme pressure applications. Its low reactivity with non-ferrous metals makes it suitable for lubricating components made of alloys like brass and bronze. The additive is versatile, applicable in metalworking fluids, heavy metal-free EP greases, slideway lubricants, and industrial gear oils.

ISCC PLUS Certification

The LANXESS production facility in Mannheim has received ISCC PLUS certification, enhancing its role in the global lubricant additives business. This certification aligns with the growing market demand for climate-friendly solutions, expanding LANXESS's portfolio of certified sustainable products.
