New EPS Factory in Corby

The new EPS manufacturing facility in Corby, Northamptonshire, represents the Sunde Group's largest single investment in the UK. This advanced production site has been relocated from Gateshead, where it operated since 2001. The move aims to enhance production capacity for the construction, housebuilding, and civil engineering markets.

Applications of EPS

Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) is a lightweight insulant widely used in thermal insulation for construction and as structural blocks in civil engineering. Colin Morrow, UK General Manager, highlighted that EPS and XPS are durable insulation materials that repel water while maintaining strength and thermal performance.

The Sunde Group employs 450 staff across 18 sites, providing comprehensive technical and R&D support. The new facility in Corby will create local jobs and foster a tight-knit team. All sites are accredited to the global Quality Management Standard BS EN ISO 9001:2015, ensuring a commitment to quality.
