Executive Team Announcement

Stora Enso has announced the executive management team for its new forest asset company, which is planned to be demerged by the first half of 2027. Tuomas Hallenberg, previously Executive Vice President of the Forest Business Area, has been appointed as President and CEO, a role he assumed in January 2026.

Key Appointments

Alongside Hallenberg, the executive team includes Martin Ros as CFO, Johan Djurberg as Head of Forestry, and Pontus Selderman as General Counsel. Martin Ros has held various leadership roles at Stora Enso, most recently as SVP, Strategy and Finance of the Biomaterials Business Area. Johan Djurberg, currently Vice President of Wood Supply at Billerud, will join the new company by June 2026. Pontus Selderman, with a strong background in business law and compliance, is currently SVP Forest Legal and ESG Regulatory at Stora Enso.

Background and Experience

Tuomas Hallenberg brings extensive experience in forest business leadership, having held senior roles at Metsähallitus and UPM. Martin Ros has a background in forestry and business economics, while Johan Djurberg has significant experience in wood supply and forestry operations. Pontus Selderman holds an LLM from Uppsala University and has a comprehensive legal career.
