Scope and locations
SPIE Nucléaire won three lots in EDF's national tender for the maintenance of rotating machines, operating in temporary groupings on seven nuclear sites: Chinon, Saint‑Laurent and Civaux in Val‑de‑Loire; Blayais and Golfech in the South‑West; and Tricastin and Cruas in the South‑East.
Contract structure and partners
The contracts were secured in consortium with ORYS Groupe Ortec and Eiffage Energie Systèmes, with SPIE Nucléaire acting as lead partner for the Val‑de‑Loire and South‑West groupings and as a partner in the South‑East grouping.
Operations, scale and timing
Contracts started on January 1 and mobilise nearly 100 SPIE Nucléaire employees. Teams will carry out more than 1,200 distinct maintenance tasks on rotating machines—motors, reducers, pumps and compressors—both during unit outages and on operating units. Unit outages can mobilise up to 20 teams for heavy interventions.
Safety and function
The maintenance scope covers equipment essential to cooling circuits, pool water circulation and ventilation systems, supporting operational continuity and the safety of nuclear production facilities.
