Energy Supply and Infrastructure
During the 14th Five-Year Plan, Sinopec's Shanxi-based enterprises, including Shanxi Petroleum and Sinopec (Shanxi) CBM Company, supplied 40% of refined oil products in the province. They also led in natural gas retail services, achieving a 95% average annual growth rate. The enterprises built 274 passenger car and 96 heavy truck charging stations, and completed the upgrade to "National VI" standard oil products.
Green Development Initiatives
Sinopec invested over 20 million yuan annually in environmental protection projects, such as oil and gas recovery and wastewater treatment. They established 24 "carbon neutral" depots and developed the first "all-gas power generation + all-electric drive reservoir modification" technology model, achieving zero carbon emissions in coalbed methane development. Geothermal energy initiatives replaced 300,000 tons of standard coal, reducing significant carbon dioxide emissions.
Community and Local Collaboration
Sinopec deepened collaboration with local governments, promoting Shanxi specialties nationwide. They supported farmers through "Three Summers" and "Three Autumns" activities, reducing oil costs. Care Stations and Driver Homes served over 500,000 freight drivers and sanitation workers. Additionally, Sinopec partnered with the Chinese Health Express Foundation to provide free cataract surgery for more than 4,000 patients.
