Introduction

Sinopec has initiated its first export of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) products to the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) market. This marks a significant step in expanding its international presence.

Product Characteristics

The HDPE products are noted for their high stiffness, high density, and low odor, making them suitable for packaging liquid foods like milk and distilled water, which are sensitive to odors.

Customer-Centric Approach

Upon identifying overseas demand for low-odor HDPE, Sinopec International Trading swiftly engaged with customers to understand their specific technical and packaging requirements.

Production and Logistics

Sinopec coordinated with Sinopec South China and selected Maoming Petrochemical as the production base. This decision was made to ensure convenience in shipping logistics and subsequent processes.

Market Expansion

This initiative lays the groundwork for further expansion into international markets for synthetic resin products, leveraging the capabilities of Sinopec's production and trading divisions.
