Siemens AG Announces Managing Board Succession Plans

Leadership Changes

Veronika Bienert will take over as Chief Financial Officer from Prof. Dr. Ralf P. Thomas on April 1, 2026. Ralf Thomas will step down from the Management Board on May 13, 2026, but will continue as a special advisor until December 2026. His role as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Siemens Healthineers AG remains unchanged.

Smart Infrastructure

Peter Koerte, currently Chief Technology Officer and Chief Strategy Officer, will assume responsibility for Smart Infrastructure from Matthias Rebellius on July 1, 2026. Matthias Rebellius will step down from the Managing Board at the end of his term.

Board Restructuring

With the departures of Matthias Rebellius and Ralf Thomas, the Managing Board will reduce from seven to five members. These changes are part of Siemens AG's succession planning and transformation into a unified tech company.
