Siemens and HighByte: HighByte Intelligence Hub added to Industrial Edge

Key highlights
  • HighByte Intelligence Hub is now an official application on the Siemens Industrial Edge Marketplace.
  • The solution runs natively on Industrial Edge and integrates with the Connectivity Suite to access PLCs, SCADA systems and industrial protocols.
  • HighByte provides DataOps, data contextualization, a Unified Namespace and can pipeline data to IT and send secure IT-originated commands back to PLCs.
  • Vivix Vidros Planos used the combined stack to deploy 30 industrial applications and built a smart predictor to protect a $120 million glass furnace.

Partnership goal

Siemens has partnered with HighByte to extend Industrial Edge capabilities by integrating HighByte Intelligence Hub. The collaboration is intended to let customers connect, contextualize and transform data from operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) sources to accelerate use of industrial data for AI and operations.

Integration and features

HighByte Intelligence Hub now runs natively on Industrial Edge and is available as an official application on the Industrial Edge Marketplace. The solution integrates with Industrial Edge's Connectivity Suite to connect to PLCs, SCADA systems and industrial protocols, and extends connectivity to IT data sources. It supports data modeling, orchestration and governance, enabling flexible transformation rules, contextualization and pipelining of multi-source data and serving as a Unified Namespace to standardize access for IT services.

Operational impact and example

The integrated stack can also send commands from IT systems such as MES back to PLCs in a secure and reliable way. Vivix Vidros Planos used Siemens Industrial Edge, HighByte and Intelligence Center X to digitalize production with 30 industrial applications and to build a smart application that predicts and prevents degradation of a $120 million glass furnace. Vivix says the combined solution feeds contextualized data into Intelligence Center X so developers can build industrial AI models and applications at scale with limited OT expert support, a point they presented at Realize LIVE Americas 2026 in Detroit.
