Product

PPG NUTRISHIELD MAX PPG7590 is a white, single-component, coil-applied interior coating for aluminum draw-redraw (DRD) cans and easy-open ends intended for wet pet food; it is the first PVC‑non‑intent (PVC‑NI) one-component coil coating introduced in the U.S.

Operational benefits

The ready-to-use formulation removes the need for mixing and changeovers, lowers production complexity and material waste, and cures reliably across different coil rollcoat lines.

Chemistry and compliance

The coating is formulated without PVC, PFAS, bisphenol A (BPA) or other bisphenols while delivering a crisp white interior and protective performance for food contact applications.

Performance and approvals

It offers stain resistance for wet pet food types such as chicken, turkey and fish, supports product integrity to help reduce food waste, and has been approved by major pet food brands, coil coaters and can manufacturers.

Exhibition

The product will be shown at METPACK 2026 in Essen, Germany, May 5-8 (Hall 3, stand 3D62).
