Capacity Expansion

Perstorp is set to increase the annual production capacity of pentaerythritol (Penta) at its Bruchhausen/Arnsberg plant in Germany by 12.5%. This expansion is in response to the growing global demand for Penta, which is widely used in resins for coatings in the building, construction, and steel industries.

Timeline and Certification

The expansion work at the Bruchhausen site began in June 2018 and is scheduled for completion in May. The plant has also successfully obtained the ISCC PLUS International Sustainability Carbon Certification, marking a significant milestone in Perstorp’s sustainability efforts.

Introduction of Voxtar™ Production

In addition to the capacity increase, Voxtar™ production will be introduced at the Bruchhausen site. This move is expected to enhance the security of supply for Voxtar™, ensuring that Perstorp can meet the rising demand for Pro-Environment Polyols.

Sustainability Efforts

Bruchhausen joins Perstorp’s Stenungsund and Perstorp sites in Sweden in the company’s strategic shift from fossil to renewable raw materials and energy. The ISCC certified products come with a Proof of Sustainability document, which confirms their contribution to sustainable sourcing according to the certified mass balance system.
