Restructuring Overview
Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. will implement an organizational restructuring effective October 1, 2025. This move aims to clarify and optimize the functions and roles of research and development as part of the company's long-term management plan, "VISION 2030."
Development Divisions
New development divisions will be established within the Life & Healthcare Solutions, Mobility Solutions, and ICT Solutions Business Sectors. These divisions will enhance collaboration and integration between business and development organizations to promote product and solution development.
Research Center and New Laboratories
The current R&D Center will be renamed the Research Center. To support research and development in new business areas, the Advanced Materials & Solutions Research Laboratory and the Catalysis & Process Research Laboratory will be established under the Research Center.
Renaming and Closure of Divisions
The R&D Planning & Coordination Division will be renamed the Research Planning & Coordination Division. The CTO Office will become the Technology Strategy Division to better align with company-wide technology strategies. Several existing research laboratories and centers, including the Synthetic Chemicals Laboratory and the Mobility Development Center, will be closed to streamline operations.
