On 1 July 2026 Nobian marks its fifth anniversary. Building on 100 years of heritage, the company says it has strengthened its position across solution mining, salt production, electrochemistry and energy-storage caverns, and embedded sustainability through its "Grow Greener Together" approach.

Product and portfolio developments

Nobian expanded its product portfolio with certified low-carbon products, becoming the first European chemical producer to offer a full portfolio of ISCC PLUS-certified chloromethanes. It also expanded RFNBO-certified green hydrogen production, starting in Rotterdam and later extended to Frankfurt, to support customers across Europe. The company reports strengthened positions in battery chemicals, flexible production and the development of energy-storage caverns to support renewable energy systems and storage demand.

Sustainability and emissions

The business reports continual improvement in environmental performance and sustainable procurement, backed by four consecutive EcoVadis Platinum ratings that place it in the top 1% of more than 130,000 assessed companies. Nobian says it has reduced carbon emissions by prioritising electrification, energy-efficiency measures and better use of residual streams. In 2024 it signed a tailor-made agreement with the Dutch government to support its ambition to reach near-zero CO₂ emissions by 2030.
