Order details

Nel Hydrogen US, a Nel ASA subsidiary, has secured additional purchase orders from Collins Aerospace for PEM electrolyser stacks used in submarine life‑support systems. The newly received orders tied to US, UK and French naval programmes are valued at approximately USD 7 million; combined with a USD 12 million order announced on 29 September 2026 and earlier smaller orders, Nel’s submarine-related intake from Collins totals about USD 20 million.

Booking and schedule

All orders will be recorded as order intake in the third quarter of 2026. Deliveries under the additional orders are expected during 2027 and 2028.

Manufacturing and capability

The stacks will be manufactured at Nel’s Wallingford, Connecticut facility. Nel’s Chief Commercial Officer Todd Cartwright said the orders extend work across several submarine programmes and reflect demand for their PEM technology, noting the demanding requirements for reliability and product lifetime in submarine life‑support systems and pointing to their operating track record and manufacturing capabilities to serve this market.
