MOL received an official licence from the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the U.S. Department of the Treasury to continue negotiations on the purchase of a majority shareholding of Naftna Industrija Srbije a.d. (NIS) until 16 June 2026.
Progress and next steps
Following a licence extension granted on 22 May 2026, negotiations have progressed materially and the current additional licence extension allows for the finalisation of transaction documentation.
