Investigation
MOL has established an investigation committee to examine the circumstances of the incident at the Olefin-1 plant in Tiszaújváros and is cooperating fully and continuously with relevant authorities.
Drainage and damage assessment
Preparations for the safe draining of the affected unit have begun; damage assessment activities will start once draining is completed.
Casualties and support
MOL is in continuous contact with hospitals in Miskolc and Debrecen and is providing full support to injured colleagues and their families; two employees have been discharged, seven remain hospitalized in stable, improving condition, and professional psychological support is being provided to affected staff and emergency responders.
Operations and fuel supply
Fuel supply in Hungary is not affected and other units of MOL Petrochemicals are operating as planned.
