Farewell to Abdulaziz Al-Muftah
His Excellency Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs and President and CEO of QatarEnergy, hosted a farewell reception for Mr. Abdulaziz Jassim Al-Muftah, the retiring Executive Vice President for Industrial Cities at QatarEnergy. Mr. Al-Muftah is recognized for his four decades of service and leadership.
Career Highlights
Mr. Al-Muftah joined QatarEnergy in 1986 as a development trainee. Over the years, he held various positions, including Head of Specialist Engineering, Head of Projects (Dukhan), Engineering Manager (offshore), and Director of Ras Laffan Industrial City. In November 2014, he was appointed as Executive Vice President for Industrial Cities.
Leadership Transition
Mr. Al-Muftah is succeeded by Mr. Homoud Fahad Al-Qahtani, who brings 29 years of experience in industrial cities and ports management and operations. Mr. Al-Qahtani has served in several key leadership roles within QatarEnergy, most recently as Manager of Mesaieed and Dukhan Concession Area.
