Metso has signed an agreement to provide a comprehensive thickener modernization at a customer site in Chile. The total order value is around EUR 16 million and the full value is recorded in the Minerals segment's third-quarter orders received for 2026.

The scope includes retrofitting three Metso high-rate thickeners (from the Metso Plus portfolio) by repowering them with two SCD 4000 drives, installing new mechanisms and a redesigned high-performing feed system to enable highly efficient thickener operation.
