Introduction

France's first motorway hydrogen refuelling station for heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) is now operational on the A4, linking to Germany, Luxembourg, and Belgium. This station, operated by TEAL Mobility, supports low-carbon mobility along strategic corridors.

Hydrogen Supply and Certification

Since November 2025, Lhyfe has been supplying the station with RFNBO-certified hydrogen, the EU's most stringent standard for green hydrogen. This is part of a multi-year contract, ensuring a consistent supply of renewable hydrogen.

Station Capacity and Infrastructure

The station has a dispensing capacity of 1 tonne of hydrogen per day, with dispensers available at 350 bar and 700 bar, catering to both HGVs and light vehicles. This infrastructure supports the transition to zero-emission transport across Europe.

Lhyfe's Expansion and Capabilities

Lhyfe currently operates four renewable hydrogen production sites in France and Germany, with a total capacity of 21 MW. The company plans to increase its installed capacity by 70% in 2026. Lhyfe also utilizes a fleet of 70 type-IV containers for hydrogen delivery, enhancing its service capabilities.
