Certification and Standards
In 2025, Lhyfe became the first company in France to obtain RFNBO certification, the EU's stringent standard for renewable hydrogen. This demonstrates the maturity of RFNBO hydrogen production and distribution in Europe.
Green Hydrogen Initiatives
Lhyfe has been a pioneer in the green hydrogen sector, inaugurating the world's first industrial-scale green hydrogen production plant connected to a wind farm in 2021. In 2022, it launched the first offshore green hydrogen production pilot platform globally.
Production Capacity
By September 2025, Lhyfe had become Europe's largest producer of RFNBO hydrogen delivered in bulk, produced via water electrolysis. The company operates multiple production sites across Europe, with several more under construction or expansion.
