Certification Achievement
In December 2023, UBE-MARUZEN POLYETHYLENE CO., LTD. (UMP), a joint venture between the UBE Group and Maruzen Petrochemical Co., Ltd., achieved ISCC PLUS certification for its ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) at the Chiba Plant.
Sustainable Production
The certified products are produced using sustainable raw materials through the mass balance method, which involves mixing biomass or circular materials with conventional ones. This method allows a portion of the product to be considered as made from 100% biomass or circular materials, based on input proportions.
