LANXESS launches Disflamoll Advance platform and Disflamoll Advance OT

Platform concept
LANXESS has launched Disflamoll Advance, a platform of next-generation plasticizing flame retardants designed for regulatory preparedness and evolving formulation requirements. The platform targets extremely low triphenyl phosphate (TPP) content of less than 0.1% while retaining flame-retardant and smoke-suppressing performance. LANXESS positions the platform to combine regulatory readiness, technical performance and sustainability.
First product: Disflamoll Advance OT
The initial product, Disflamoll Advance OT, is formulated for polar polymer systems. Target applications listed include flexible PVC (flooring, tarpaulins, synthetic leather), insulation foams, thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU), synthetic rubbers and cellulose esters.
Performance and processing
According to LANXESS, Disflamoll Advance OT maintains high flame retardancy and strong smoke suppression, helps reduce or eliminate antimony trioxide (ATO) in formulations, and can improve processing efficiency.
Sustainability and rollout
The company states the product’s carbon footprint can be up to 40% lower than conventional alternatives through the use of renewable energy and raw materials. Disflamoll Advance OT is available now, and additional solutions are planned as the platform expands to address customer, market and regulatory requirements.
