Project Overview

KT-Kinetics Technology completed the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction activities for the Rijeka Refinery Upgrade Project in Croatia. The project included the installation of a new delayed coking unit to process heavy residue, revamping of process units, and upgrading the utility network. It also involved implementing advanced solutions for coke handling, storage, and sea jetty construction.

Challenges and Execution

The project was executed during a period marked by significant global challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical tensions related to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Despite these hurdles, the project progressed through strong coordination and cooperation among stakeholders.

Ceremony and Attendance

The completion ceremony was attended by notable figures such as Ante Šušnjar, Minister of Economy of Croatia, Zsuzsanna Ortutay, President of INA, Hrvoje Šimović, INA Management Board Member, József Molnár, CEO of MOL Group, and Levente Magyar, Hungary's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The Italian Consul in Rijeka and MAIRE group representatives were also present.
