Transaction

KPS Capital Partners has completed its acquisition of Ketjen’s refining catalyst business from Albemarle, a transaction first announced on October 27, 2025.

Strategic priorities

Under KPS ownership Ketjen says it will speed development of catalyst and additive technologies and harness advanced data, technology and business processes to deliver improved products, efficiency and customer value. Management highlights plans to integrate AI and advanced analytics into its offerings to boost performance and operational insight.

Operations and customer support

Ketjen will continue to operate manufacturing sites in Houston, Rio de Janeiro, Amsterdam and Minato (Japan) and maintain research centres and technical support teams across the Americas, Europe and Asia, pledging the same customer-facing technical support backed by additional resources from its new owner.
