Kemira Oyj announced the acquisition of SIDRA Wasserchemie to enhance its Water Solutions business in Europe. The deal, valued at approximately EUR 75 million, is pending approval from the Federal Cartel Office in Germany and is expected to close in the first half of the year.
SIDRA Wasserchemie Overview
SIDRA Wasserchemie is a family-owned coagulant producer with two production facilities in Germany. The company serves customers in Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. In 2024, SIDRA reported a revenue of approximately EUR 40 million and an EBITDA of around EUR 10 million.
Employee Transition
Upon completion of the acquisition, SIDRA Wasserchemie's workforce of over 60 employees is expected to join Kemira, further strengthening its operations in the region.
