Kemira secured Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) registration for KemConnect DEX, a chlorine-free, performic-acid-based disinfection method for waste and process water treatment.
Technology and operation
KemConnect DEX generates performic acid on-site and integrates real-time monitoring with Kemira’s proprietary algorithm to optimize dosing and increase operational visibility while ensuring rapid breakdown of the disinfectant.
Field use and rollout
The solution has been available in Europe for over a decade and was implemented at the Seine Amont wastewater treatment plant during the Paris 2024 Games; commercial rollout across Canada will continue as provincial and local precursor-product registrations are finalized.
