KEME ENERGY to develop green hydrogen and storage project at ZILS

Agreement and site
On 16 June 2026, aicep Global Parques signed a surface rights agreement with KEME ENERGY to develop an integrated green hydrogen, energy storage and sustainable mobility project at ZILS – Sines Industrial and Logistics Zone.
Project scope
The scheme will be implemented on a 9,443.84 m² site and includes a renewable hydrogen production unit based on electrolysis technology, a battery energy storage system and two multi-fuel stations providing green hydrogen refuelling and ultra-fast electric vehicle charging.
Strategic context
The initiative leverages Sines’ industrial, energy and logistics infrastructure and aims to diversify regional energy solutions and develop value chains linked to renewable hydrogen, reinforcing Sines’ role in Portugal’s renewable energy and energy transition ecosystem.
