Project Overview

KBR has secured a contract to implement its proprietary PLINKE MAGNAC® technology for producing high-concentration nitric acid at Grupa Azoty’s Tarnow site in Poland. The new plant will be constructed adjacent to an existing facility that KBR supplied and has been operational since 1998.

Technology and Capabilities

The MAGNAC technology is designed to produce 98.5 wt% high-concentration nitric acid from fresh, weak nitric acid. KBR’s process and patented equipment design ensure high plant availability and reliability, delivering a valuable product to the market.

Scope of Work

KBR will provide basic and detailed engineering design, equipment, and related advisory services for the new plant. This project aims to enhance the existing facility's capabilities and support Grupa Azoty’s business expansion goals.
