PureCycle and IPL Schoeller launch SnapPack Square EVO container line

Key highlights
  • Every SnapPack Square EVO container contains 20% PureFive® recycled polypropylene.
  • PureFive® resin is produced via PureCycle’s patented dissolution process and is APR Certified for post‑consumer recycled content.
  • The line targets compliance with New Jersey’s law, which rises from 10% to 20% (including food packaging) by 2027 and to 50% by 2036.
  • SnapPack Square EVO is expected to be available to brand owners starting Fall 2026, with more sizes and formats to follow.

Product launch

PureCycle Technologies and IPL Schoeller announced SnapPack Square EVO, a new standardized line of tamper‑evident food contact containers that incorporates recycled content across a ready‑to‑buy platform for brand owners and retailers.

Background and scale‑up

The launch builds on a collaboration with Cleveland Kitchen to commercialize a private‑label refrigerated food container containing post‑consumer recycled (PCR) content; that program’s success expanded a single product into a platform available across multiple categories.

Material and certifications

Each container will contain 20% PureFive® recycled polypropylene, produced through PureCycle’s patented dissolution process; PureFive® has been recognized as qualifying recycled content under New Jersey’s Recycled Content Law and is APR Certified for post‑consumer recycled content.

Regulatory context and timing

The offering is positioned to help brand owners meet a growing patchwork of rules: New Jersey requires 10% rigid plastic recycled content today, rising to 20% (including food packaging) by 2027 and 50% by 2036, while EPR laws in states such as California and Oregon will impose related requirements between 2027 and 2032. SnapPack Square EVO aims to provide a ready path to compliance without a custom development program.

Availability

SnapPack Square EVO is expected to be available to brand owners starting Fall 2026, with additional sizes and formats planned as the line rolls out.
